After Bod's family is killed, he's taken in by a ghostly couple who give their word to his dead mother that they would take care of him. They give Bod access to the graveyard - which means he can go into the graves of the dead, as well as fade and dream walk (which isn't really permitted). The only catch is that he is not allowed to leave the graveyard or his family's killer might find him. What will become of Nobody Owens? Will he ever be able to have a life outside of the graveyard? Is he even safe within the place he now calls home? All your questions will be answered at the end of this book - or at least most of them!
I really enjoyed reading this book. It might be coded as middle grade but I'd recommend it to anyone of any age.

He leads a pretty normal life - aside from drinking blood and having a vampire hunter trying to kill him. Don't worry, it's not what you think. He doesn't suck blood or anything like that. Nelly, his dead mother's best friend, works at a hospital and brings him bags of blood to appease his hunger. On top of everything else that isn't going right for Vlad, one of his teachers goes missing and the substitute appears to know a little TOO much about him. Will Vladimir's secret get out? Will he find out more about his background than he wants to know? Read and find out!

Jeremy lives in an apartment. Jeremy never goes outside. Jeremy has a special pen. He decides to draw a monster. This monster comes alive and is full of demands. What will Jeremy do with this demanding monster? Surely he won't erase it.. right?! This story is funny, has great illustrations and a good message once you get to the end. Getting out is a good thing!

Caitlin's best friend Ingrid has committed suicide and she never saw it coming and hasn't been the same since. She is depressed and feeling utterly alone. Until she finds Ingrid's journal under her bed, along with the secrets she was hiding from everyone, including her best friend. Caitlin finally finds the answers she's been looking for and hopefully some closure, as well. This book will definitely make you cry but you'll finish it with a smile.

Could you kill someone if it was your life or theirs? If it was someone you knew and cared about? These students never thought they'd have to make this kind of decision. What will they do when faced with it? It's scary how knowing you could die changes the way you act and turns you into a killer. This class not only turns on each other in a heartbeat but they also kill in extremely gruesome ways. Be warned; this book is not for the feint of heart. It's still an amazing read about human nature and the lengths people will go to just to stay alive.
