Derrida introduces the relation between animality and sovereignty and the connections between them. Thirteen unpublished lectures that are literary and philosophically fascinating. Derrida is a consummate master of word play and deft theory and hard to understand from some of the reviews I’ve read but overall he is brilliant in his execution and the leader in “Deconstruction philosophy,” which he says , “There is nothing outside of text.”
