One needn’t subscribe to the Christian faith to absorb the rich stuff from this classic Emmet Fox book. There is something refreshing and very positive in the words Jesus is known to have spoken on the mount, as outlined here. I read this a lot when I was sitting at a job that was far from ideal, and it helped me almost every day to keep from going nuts.

A small-time crook is doing life in Corcoran State Prison for his mother's murder, but when he admits that his confession was coerced by the cops, Detective Scully takes on the case.
