This autobiographical novella spans two years in the life of a young, hip writer, Tao Lin. Lin, who was known for staging outrageous conceptual art events in support of his collections of stories and poetry, grew a cultish following. Now he returns to explore class, culture, and the arts in all its American forms, all in a funny, journalistic, and existentially-minded narrative style.
