Gaiman has created a funny and dark fairy tale full of magic, talking animals, and adventure.  Tristran Thorn ventures into the land of Faerie to retrieve a fallen star for his love Victoria.  He finds the fallen star named Yvaine and is set on returning her to his love, but the witch queen and the sons of the Lord of Stormhold have other plans.
