The father of the author is like the salt of the earth with the mouth of a sailor. In other words, he is surpassingly likeable. I opened this book fully expecting to dislike it. Instead, I found myself chuckling and really enjoying myself quite a bit. Part memoir and part (to me, at least) a celebration of blunt, frank answers to some simple and some not-so-simple questions, thoughts, and opinions. Fun.
