Miller retells moments from his own life to get to real, living questions about God, love, what nature of beings we are and what we can really do about it. It reads like a memoir, with remembrances and conversations and is so refreshing, honest, and relevant! I like that he often includes his friends’ stories, so even his writing is about community and being with other people. There are passages you’ll want to highlight and read again. Like C.S. Lewis, Miller has doubted, and yet he’s striked a lot of truth too uncanny to ignore. Many “aha” moments and yet, what can anyone really say? “Its something you feel, and it comes from the soul.”

Fearless, empathetic & all-encompassing in scope, Bock's Beautiful Children delivers a masterful panorama of Las Vegas and the web of lonely children and suffering adults who struggle under its glimmering lights. At the center of this rich Dickensian universe is a missing boy, and the search for him leads to a swirling climax of heartache and brittle redemption. Rarely has a city been explored so tenderly and ruthlessly, or loneliness so vividly rendered as its own dark paradise.
Charles is bringing with him some spectacular giveaways for this event. Don
