The Chords of War, is based on a true story, centering on Max, a singer and guitarist who tries to understand why his life in Florida always teeters between music and mayhem. After he’s kicked out of his rock band, Max joins the Army to change his life. Post 9/11, he finds himself under fire in Iraq, part of the surge in Baquabah in Operation Arrowhead Ripper. In the military police, securing areas on the front line in 2006, Max creates a band with other musicians in the platoon, and they bring the one thing most soldiers can’t get—dancing and release from the heat and the horror around them.
