After Bod's family is killed, he's taken in by a ghostly couple who give their word to his dead mother that they would take care of him. They give Bod access to the graveyard - which means he can go into the graves of the dead, as well as fade and dream walk (which isn't really permitted). The only catch is that he is not allowed to leave the graveyard or his family's killer might find him. What will become of Nobody Owens? Will he ever be able to have a life outside of the graveyard? Is he even safe within the place he now calls home? All your questions will be answered at the end of this book - or at least most of them!
I really enjoyed reading this book. It might be coded as middle grade but I'd recommend it to anyone of any age.

In order for the third graders at Willard International Baccalaureate and Technology Magnet School to learn the art of poetry writing, students apply basic concepts such as rhythm, meter, syllabication, purpose, point of view, and audience in their own poetry. They also practice writing couplets, triplets, quatrains, cinquains, haikus, free verse, sonnets, and limericks using figurative language and vivid verbs to enhance their poetry. During their studies, they read and analyze works by various poets from different parts of the world. This recital follows the end of this unit, giving the students a chance to share their forms of self-expression with one another.
