Seminal Feminist/Activist Jennifer Baumgardner will read from and discuss her new investigation into the history of abortion rights and activism, Abortion & Life, and will be joined by her frequent collaborator, Amy Richards, presenting Opting In: Having a Child Without Losing Yourself. Abortion & Life is a balanced and at times controversial study of the history of abortion rights activism and suppression in the United States while Opting In addresses the anxiety over parenting that women face today, drawing on memoir, interviews, historical analysis, and feminist insight.
