Our apologies, this class has been cancelled.
Writers get stuck. Projects stall and years can pass. Whatever stage your manuscript is in, this workshop will help you get to the next level with your project. We will explore self-editing: what to cut, when to share your work, and with whom, as well as the dangers of negative comments and gratuitous praise. Breaking through: recording your chapters and hearing the score. Having a goal: making and setting a goal for what you are going to do with your writing and who is your intended audience/market. What is the purpose of your writing and for the finished project? Asking CB Shiepe’s essential question: What would be the tragedy if your manuscript is never completed or shared? Move beyond roadblocks. Take that manuscript out of the drawer, dust it off and discover how to get writing again. Students will share roadblocks and practical strategies to move past them.
Instructor: C.B. Shiepe’s award-winning novel – CLIFF FALLS – reaches a broad audience and resonates with readers who have gone over the falls in their own lives.
