Father Boyle was ordained as a Jesuit Priest in 1982, moved to Boyle Heights in 1986 to become the pastor of Dolores Mission, and in 1988, he founded what would eventually become Homeboy Industries. Homeboy Industries provides at risk youth and former gang members with job experience, positive communities and a second chance.
