A great book for the spirit, heart, and intellect. A young wildlife biologist adopts a barn owl. Over the next 19 years, this beautiful (see the pictures!), earnest creature teaches her a spiritual outlook on life. Linking funny and sweet anecdotes are O'Brien's musings on the eccentric lives of biologists plus great info on birds and wildlife. Very interesting!
