Through the testimony of a 9/11 survivor and the deep impact his return makes on the lives of his estranged wife and son, DeLillo succeeds at revisiting the tragedy from an emotionally renewed standpoint. It's a revelatory approach and a stunning achievement.

A love story like no other, where to win the heart of a young woman, a man proceeds to tell her about each and every eucalyptus tree on the large and beautiful property of his father. It is a delightful tale of quiet understanding and respectful discovery, and by the end of it, the reader is quite enchanted.

This is the other Israel. Keret's collection of short uncanny tales gives voice to the greater population of the plain an unknown younger people, the antiheroes, the regular nobodies of a high-profile country. The stories are crisp, rich in tone, sometimes absurdist, but always very touching. A refreshing discover! P.S. Check out Keret's novel Jetlag.

In his inimitable voice, Bergreen, just as he did with Magellan in his previous book, will lead you through the voyages of Marco Polo with renewed understanding of the 13th Century world and a keen insight into the character of this young, intrepid Venetian merchant.

In one handsome and handy little book, you have the many big questions
that underscore our lives and which have obsessed many thinkers of the
Western world: Can we know anything? Is the world good? Do we have free
will? This is a wonderful compendium that distills the debates of the
great philosophers and ultimately informs us on how we lead our lives
and place ourselves in this bigger world.
