This workshop will offer local parents practical advice on how to ensure their children have the right environment and skills for completing assignments to the very best of their abilities, said Don Mills, Center Director of the learning center. "Many of the parents who ask us how to improve their children's study skills are particularly frustrated when their children forget about homework assignments or struggle to complete them," said Cristina Notarnicola, who will lead the workshop. "This workshop will offer practical solutions for the seven most common stumbling blocks, with plenty of time for questions and answers about other issues that hinder students' progress. A great deal of the workshop focuses on ways for parents to defuse the stress that causes kids to procrastinate, and on creating the kinds of environments that foster concentration and learning."
