Vroman's Goes Green



Vroman’s Living Green section promotes eco-friendly merchandise and environmentally focused books. From purses made out of recycled LA Times newspapers to paper made from elephant dung, the products are meaningful, popular and profitable for the store. We’ve also gone to work on our own carbon footprint – eliminating Styrofoam products from our employee break room, hiring a company to evaluate how to make our lighting systems more efficient, setting all our computers to lower their energy usage when not in use, installing no-flush urinals in the men’s room, continuing our extensive recycling program, and requesting ideas from staff on how to make Vroman’s greener.
