Join Daniel Deephouse for our November introductory Bonsai class. Daniel brings more than 40 years experience in Bonsai care and cultivation. He has created and cared for Bonsai in Australia, the UK and the US.
This month we dive into learning about a tiger bark ficus. You'll repot, trim and wire your own Japanese garden juniper! Part of our ongoing Bonsai series, Daniel will take you through the process of creating and caring for your very own Bonsai. We provide all the supplies you need, you bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. We can't wait to meet you.
Daniel brings more than 40 years experience, across Australia, the UK and the US, in the cultivation and care of Bonsai. He fell in love with the art when his Oma (grandmother) Elizabeth Deephouse introduced him to it when he was eight. He loves to share his passion with anyone interested in learning. Daniel currently volunteers to help maintain the Bonsai collection at the Huntington Gardens and the Lake Balboa Japanese Garden. This class will be held in the Vroman's Meeting Room located next door to Vroman's Main Store in the Atrium at 709 E. Colorado Blvd. Suite 120.
