Learn how to create your own modern stamps and use them to print on a variety of surfaces. Bold shapes can be carved into rubber, inked, and stamped onto everything from wrapping paper to tea towels to totes. Similar to the block printing methods that have been around for a long time, carving your own stamps is on trend today as a modern method of creating hand printed designs. In this class, you’ll learn the methods of rubber block carving and printing. We’ll carve a design (there will be several you can choose, or bring your own ideas!) and use it to print on a market tote bag for our final project. You will gain a basic knowledge of tools, inks, process, and helpful techniques.
All materials provided.
