Learning to fold simple paper models is just the beginning in Origami Games for Kids! Children of all ages can enjoy playing 15 interactive games with their finished origami crafts. The paper models can be used to play 15 simple but highly entertaining games that will keep children engaged for hours, and allow them to collaborate as well as compete.

Everything you need is in this box -- a full-color instruction book, 48 sheets of high-quality folding papers, and over 50 stickers to decorate the finished models. (Tuttle Publishing)

Question: What do you get when you mix HALLOWEEN, ORIGAMI, and STORYTELLING?

Answer: SPOOKY STORY-GAMI

Join origami artist and author Joel Stern for a spooky origami workshop, just in time for Halloween. Watch as scary stories of ghosts and witches, bats, and vampires come to life through the magic of origami. Fold along with Joel to create your very own spooky Halloween decorations. Children younger than 8 will need an older person to help them make the origami.

Joel is the author of the newly published Origami Games Kit, as well as many other papercraft books. He's given origami demonstrations and workshops all over the U.S., Japan, and Israel, and was artist-in-residence at the first annual Sherrill Berman Children's Art Education Program in Detroit. He has been a guest author at St. Paul the Apostle School in Westwood, and Adams Middle School in Redondo Beach. Joel is also the coordinator of Pacific Ocean Paperfolders (POP), an origami club that meets the 4th Sunday of every month at the Roxbury Park Recreation Center from 1-4 PM. Folders of every age and experience level are welcome.
