Reyna Grande, in conversation with Alex Espinoza, discusses and signs A Dream Called Home

In her memoir, Reyna Grande shares her life’s journey from being undocumented Mexican immigrant to finding success as an author in the U.S. At age nine, after two failed attempts, Grande crossed the US-Mexico border in search of a place to belong. But what she found instead was an indifferent mother, an alcoholic father, and a school system that belittled her heritage. Grande recounts how her love of reading and writing helped propel her to become the first in her family to attend college and her struggles to make a career out of a dream.

Grande will be joined in conversation by author Alex Espinoza.
