This is a two day workshop and you are signing up for both class meetings
Do you cling to your past wishing it was better than it was? Do you think about your future, but have trouble organizing your thoughts and figuring out next steps? In this memoir writing workshop you will learn to trust your inner wisdom and listen to your heart as you move away from wishful thinking toward a more positive and proactive approach to your future.
Memoir writing is both a creative and cathartic process. As we write the stories of our life, we can find comfort and peace. We cannot change our past, but we can change our perception of the past. When we are at peace with ourselves, we are able to heal and discover our personal truths. Over the course of two Saturdays, in this workshop you will use your memoir writing skills to tap into your inner wisdom as you clarify your thoughts and plan for your future.
As you respond to the in-class writing prompts, you will begin to articulate your goals, define your values, and start developing the skills you need to be your own Life Coach. We will do several memoir writing exercises to help you learn from the lessons of your past while planning for your future. In a very short time you will find yourself bonding and sharing with other class members in this rewarding workshop.
With your $30 materials fee, you will get numerous handouts plus your own copy of Writing Your Life: The Ultimate Guide to Telling Your Story with over five hundred writing prompts, dozens of Helpful Hints, and numerous tools to keep you writing and healing after the workshop is over.
